Description:

The work evokes the texture of a wet stone wall, where layers of glue strip in varying opacity create a reflective, tactile surface. A warm glow fills the panel, nostalgic, mystical, and quietly alive, carrying a trace of memory and momentum.

I noticed how the wrinkled plastic surface began to resemble a stone wall — layered, reflective, and uneven. That moment planted the idea of cave painting as a contemporary gesture. The glue strips behave like sediment, catching light and forming a tactile skin that feels both artificial and geological.

The figures that emerge — horses, sabertooth tigers, hunters — are reduced and expressive, hovering between prehistoric mark-making and modern visual language. The horse carries a sense of movement and direction rooted in expressionism, while the sabertooth introduces pop-cultural energy, almost cartoon-like, charged with power and impact. In Hunter, predator and prey are locked into a narrative of tension, where instinct, survival, and motion unfold across the surface. These panels function as storytelling walls — fragments of imagined histories where action, memory, and material collide.
